Born Justin Blau, 3LAU (pronounced "Blau") became fascinated with music at the age of five when he first began his classical piano training. He later taught himself guitar and drums, learning to play his favorite music by ear. 3LAU took the electronic music scene by storm in 2011 by igniting the college scene with his mashups & bootlegs, combining popular vocals with lesser known dance anthems. After just two years on the EDM circuit, 3LAU transitioned from strictly mashups to full-scale productions with the release of "Escape" on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings. A year later he amassed widespread acclaim with the single "How You Love Me" [Island/Casablanca] that soared to the top of nearly every dance chart and became SiriusXM BPM's most played record of 2014. Now 25 years old and residing in Las Vegas, 3LAU continues to pursue his signature euphoric sound while experimenting with many different genres. Gleaning creative insight from inspirations Sigur Ros and Radiohead, 3LAU aspires to combine beautiful melodies with emotional uplifting energy, adding an occasional aggressive touch to his records.
